Your Brain Is A Glitchy Hater

Your Brain Is a Glitchy Hater

Your mind ever taunt you? Tell you you’re not good enough? Act like you don’t matter? As if your opinion is just shit? Like you have no place in the world? No one who gives a fuck? Like you’re just fucking dogshit?

I’m gonna tell you right now that’s some fucking bullshit.

We’ve been sold a toxic wellness lie that we need to vibe higher or love ourselves out of a rut but the raw biology under your skull is actively working against you. It’s not evil. It’s just a dumb heavy piece of meat that doesn’t know how to handle a normal stressful Tuesday.

Here is the actual mechanics of the bully in your head.

First is your Default Mode Network which we will call the DMN. This is your brain’s mental time machine. When you sit idle in traffic or fold laundry or stare at the ceiling at three in the morning the DMN kicks in. It’s supposed to help you plan or be creative but when you’re stressed the DMN turns into a ruthless loop. It drags you backward to replay embarrassing moments or it launches you forward to panic about things you can’t control.

Second is your Amygdala. It’s a hyper-sensitive biological smoke detector. It can’t tell the difference between an actual physical threat and a text from your boss that says we need to talk. When your inner critic starts whispering your amygdala treats those thoughts as an active physical attack. It dumps cortisol and adrenaline into your bloodstream shutting down your logical brain. You’re not weak. You’re literally poisoned by your own stress hormones while you’re just trying to make dinner.

You can’t think your way out of a thinking problem. You’ve got to use your body to force a chemical override.

The Ten Minute Physical Disruption

The exact second the self-hate loop starts you drop and do twenty pushups or sprint to the corner or turn the shower dial to freezing cold. You’re not doing this to get fit or find joy. You’re doing it because intense physical exertion forces your blood flow somewhere else.

This starves the DMN forces the amygdala to stand down and triggers a baseline release of dopamine which is the chemical of action. You’re not trying to win. You’re just forcing your body to hit the brakes on the spiral.

Stop waiting to find some magical group of people who perfectly understand your soul. You won’t find your people by sitting in a dark room thinking about them. You find them by standing in the real world doing the exact thing that makes you weird in public and seeing who stops to watch.

Stop thinking. Start moving. Swing the bat.

Remember you’re a whole ass vibe one that no one else can match perfectly and one that’s going to find the people who vibrate the same way you do. So don’t give up because I know you’re going to find your tribe. The only time you lose in this game is when you don’t even try.
