I have not read any of the other books in this series. Iris is finally a Doctor but had to go to Texas to find work. She has not seen any patients except pregnant women. A man shows up looking for the Dr. and is not happy when he finds out the new town Dr. is a woman. This book, in a way, reminds me of the TV show Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. I enjoyed this book very much. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* 4/5
