This book is beautifully written, I highly recommend reading it. Her weaving of events unfolding in the present often reflects the main character’s back story numerous times. Each time, something new is observed. His choices, some small, others with gained foreknowledge change everything about some events that are rewound, and played again.

A deal made to secure the future that both parties can be content about.

A tale of battles, personal and external rage across a vivid scene full of surprises, painted in radiant oft times mysterious detail. Five stars! This book will be very difficult to set down especially if you like horses.
